I’d like to first apologize for the prolonged lack of updates — I had to set the blog aside this year as I was focusing on preparing for medical school. However, I am pleased to announce that everyday-carry.com is back, with new content on the way! everyday-carry.com is undergoing many new, exciting changes, and is heading in the direction I had envisioned for the site since its creation. I’ll be working with my partner, Dan, to move forward with new posts. Publishing quality content is our top priority, and we are working hard to make sure everyday-carry.com becomes your number one source for all things EDC. Stay tuned.
Thank you and carry on,
I was recently contacted by Bart Creasman of Baltz Fine Writing Instruments about their line of hand-turned, luxury pens. He and his business partner, Cass Baltz, have been fans of the site here and even drew inspiration from the ‘pocket dump’ layout to style their product pages. Bart graciously offered to send me one of their pens to try out and review for you guys. I’ll be giving my thoughts and impressions on one of their base models, the Exemplar ‘Holden.’

Want even more EDC content? Check out @carrygram!
This new platform will serve as an additional medium to deliver user-submitted content that isn’t as well-suited for the main tumblr for whatever reason. It’s a win-win situation, as less content goes unpublished. I appreciate your submissions and want to do my best to publish them in one way or another.
If you don’t have instagram, don’t worry! You can still view @carrygram on the web.
Cheers and carry on,

Editor’s Note: This is an example of why I request some detailed item description of submissions if possible, because even I am having trouble identifying that pouch. It looks like the Maxpedition EDC Pocket Organizer, but there are a lot out there so I’m not sure. I’m thinking of putting one together myself for my birthday as a micro bug out bag/toolkit… while hoping I’d never have to use it once it’s complete. Anyway, it looks nicely loaded — for my purposes mine would look similar except I’d probably have a small first aid kit and a Write in the Rain pad in there somewhere. Oh and if not all that cord is necessary, braiding it into some sort of really large lanyard could help compact it to fit better. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve seen a few post with Zebra Sharbo XLT pens and thought I’d submit this mod I made to mine. I have been carrying an ipad stylus and a Sharbo on me everyday. I found that the iPad capacitive stylus tips are about the same size as the rubber tip on the Sharbo XLT. After taking off the cap that covers the eraser, its easy to pop the rubberized piece out and insert the rubber tip of a stylus. i used a Boxwave iPad stylus that I wasn’t using. I did have to wrap a little clear tape around the base of the stylus tip to get a good tight fit. The stylus tip is hollow and fits over the eraser. One less item i have to carry with me everyday.
Editor’s Note: Cool mod, looks really clean too. Good idea for those out there with a Sharbo and an iPad. Thanks for sharing~
