EDC

Everyday Carry, or EDC, generally refers to small items or gadgets worn, carried, or made available in pockets, holsters, or bags on a daily basis to manage common tasks or for use in unexpected situations or emergencies. In a broader sense, it is a lifestyle, discipline, or philosophy of preparedness.

Victorinox Swisstool Spirit S & Lamy Safari
Picked up the Swisstool for myself and my roommate got me the Lamy for my birthday ^_^. Swisstool is quality — just wish it had scissors on it. Otherwise, feels substantial and I like the grip both open and closed. The Lamy is super lightweight and cool too. I just don’t know how it will hold up in pocket carry, clipped, because the cap pops off (no screw top), so there’s the risk of it uncapping and bleeding into your pocket… Oh and sorry for the dust, my DIY lightbox has been collecting some. Should I buy an entry level DSLR and try to step up my macro photography game?

  4. olara21 answered: you could go with an entry level DSLR or maybe just pick up a canon G12. Something with more functions and settings.

  7. main-screen-turn-on answered: I think you take pretty good pictures as it is, but I bought a sony a300 this year and will never look back
  8. adamharrel answered: A little editing in Photoshop would clean that up, no need to get anything too advanced.
  9. ni3tzsche answered: work with what you have now. Save up for a nice DSLR it’ll last longer. I’d probably work on your lighting first.
  10. nikchi answered: Yep, it’ll probably last you for quite a while anyway. Be careful of the brand you pick however, not all lenses are the same.

  13. urbman answered: If you’re worried about the pen cap popping off, maybe you would like an all-black Embassy Pen from County Comm. Cap screws on for security.
  14. jonpwn answered: I think you should buy a DSLR and learn overall photography rather than macro. A couple of more light sources would be good too.
